June 7th Weekend 2008

Jug Band Perfection.
This week saw the Barn busy all week long. We started with the Southwest Tourism Alliance here on Tuesday, the Chinook Health Region here on Thursday and a great group of grade 4 students from Queen Alexandra School in Edmonton here on Wednesday. This group of students were soooo much fun. When they arrived they were taken upstairs to learn some dance moves and they sure picked up the steps quick. They also learned about the history of barn dancing and then dug into some of our famous roast beef. They even helped to create a really good jug band after dinner. A special thanks to all the leaders for all their help. Friday had us performing our Dinner Show to the Cardston Seniors. What a nice group. Saturday was Barn Dance night and boy did we dance. The Mitchel Family, the Linssens, the Kurtos and Joas, the Richarsons, the VanderVeldes, the Reesers and the Seaborns all joined us for a very fun night. A special thank you to Steve & Sonja Wikkerink for bringing the Birthday Boys and their great families out to the Barn to celebrate three different birthdays. And the boys did a pretty good job in the Jug Band as well. Our new neighbors in the Mountain Vista Subdivision, the O'Conners stopped by for dinner. Welcome to the neighborhood you two. It's still a little wet here from all the rain, but were not complaining. Okay maybe a littel bit. It's been three weeks. All the farmers are still saying it's going to be a dry summer. Bring it on, were ready for it. See ya all next week.
